Senior Pastor - Dr. B.W. Hambrick

B.W. HambrickDr. B. W. Hambrick has served through the years to develop a loving, caring church where all people, whatever their needs, may come and find help and healing. He has worked with the church to create an environment of safety and support whether in small group meetings like Sunday Bible Study small groups, or targeted support groups. Today the church is exemplary in its care and compassion. The ECN strives to be effective in ministering to those with hurts, habits and hang-ups through the ministry of Celebrate recovery that meets on Wednesdays and Fridays. The growth of the church has been through outreach ministries including: local TV coverage of the Live Worship Service into 37,000 homes, children, youth and adult Bible studies and Sunday School classes, Grandview Heights Christian Day Care, Grandview Heights Christian Academy.

Pastor Hambrick has served as Senior Pastor of the Ephrata Church of the Nazarene since 1986. There are six lay or ministerial staff members who serve in pastoral roles to assist Pastor Hambrick in the care of the people. The church has shown good growth during these years and currently worships in five worship services and three hours when Sunday School classes meet at 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. In 2001 the church completed their relocation to a 34 acre site and the construction of the first phase of the new building at 110 Durlach Road in Ephrata. The building has approximately 65,000 square feet and features a sanctutorium that seats 800 and classroom space for more than 500. In 2006, the church completed an addition which houses the gymnasium, kitchen and cafe (seating 125).

In 2007, the church expanded its worship strategy to include contemporary worship, blended worship, traditional worship and Video Café. At the same time, the church took a bold step in establishing their first campus church, under the direction of Rev. Kenneth Higginbotham, at the church owned Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement Community some seventeen miles away from the home church campus. Plans for the future include expansion of the campus church ministry into many of the surrounding communities with a campus pastor, worship leaders, and a video message from Pastor Hambrick.
